FTFBBZ High Voltage Automatic Reactive Power Compensation Device
Overview
The FTFBBZ series high voltage automatic reactive power compensation device is designed to operate on 6kV or 10kV power supply busbars. It automatically switches capacitor banks on and off based on grid and load conditions via a control system, ensuring real-time reactive power tracking compensation. The system achieves a power factor of 0.9 or above, significantly improving power quality, reducing energy loss, and enhancing the transmission capacity of power distribution systems.
Operating Conditions
Ambient temperature: -25°C to +55°C
Relative humidity: ≤ 85%
Altitude: ≤ 1000m
The operating environment must be free from explosive media. Surrounding air must not contain corrosive, insulation-damaging gases or conductive dust. The environment should also be free of heavy steam or mold.
Product Features
Capable of long-term operation under steady-state overvoltage conditions up to 1.1 times the rated operating voltage
Capable of continuous operation under overcurrent conditions up to 1.3 times the rated current of the capacitor bank
Vacuum contactors are used for switching, allowing for frequent operations
Each capacitor unit is equipped with a discharge coil that reduces residual voltage to below 50V within 5 seconds
Optional relay protection or microprocessor protection units for each capacitor bank, with protection features for overcurrent, voltage imbalance, undervoltage, and overvoltage; faulty banks can be isolated without affecting the rest of the system
Individual capacitors are protected by expulsion-type fuses, and each group is equipped with surge arresters for overvoltage and lightning protection
Integrated large-screen LCD controller for real-time monitoring of system voltage, current, and power factor, with RS232/RS485 communication interface supporting remote monitoring and control (Four-Remote Function)
Optional reactors for each capacitor group to suppress inrush current or harmonic amplification during switching
